Hello friends and family,

Since we called each of you personally and didn't mail out wedding invitations, we thought it would be a good idea to send an email with specific wedding details and directions.  We are so thankful to have you celebrate this day with us, and look forward to spending time with you!

Here's the specifics:
4:00 Thursday, 15 March 2004, at Maclay Gardens, by the reflection pool.  When you come in the front gate, tell them you're attending the Griffith/Till wedding (the park admission fee will be waived) and ask them to tell you how to get to the gardner's cottage, as this is where you'll park.  (Just follow the main road, winding a good way's back, until you see a sign that say's "Gardner's Cottage"... turn right into this lot, and park anywhere in the grass.  You'll see the entryway into the cottage area, and an honor guard will direct you where to go down the brick path for the ceremony.)  If you have any doubts of how to get to Maclay Gardens, go to www.mapquest.com and enter the information below.  It gives really clear instruction (just checked it!):

Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park
3540 Maclay Rd
Tallahassee, Fl

For the reception, we will have directions printed for you at the ceremony.  In case any of you would like to see how to get there in advance, you can enter the address below into mapquest and it will be pretty clear.  It's about 25 miles from Maclay Gardens.  When you head north on 319 (Thomasville Rd), you'll turn left onto Hwy 93 (a Texaco gas station and then JB's BBQ will be on the right just before you turn left onto 93).  You'll stay on 93 for about 15 minutes until you start coming into Cairo... when you see a red, white, and blue Liberty gas station on the right, that's when you'll turn right onto Joyner Road.  the Lauder's home will be on the right before you get to the first stop sign -- we'll have white bows on their front gate:

536 Joyner Rd
Cairo, Ga

We look forward to seeing you all there!  We love you, and are grateful to have you share this day with us.
our love,
John and Lavonda

ps... In case of rain, the ceremony will be moved to the Lauder home, where the reception will be.  We'll have the guard gate at Maclay Gardens informed of this change, with directions to give anyone who happens to come there.  and if the ceremony is at the Lauder's because of rain, we'll move the wedding time to accommodate people coming from the gardens.  That said, the forecast is looking pretty good so far for an outdoor wedding... if any of you would like to add this to your prayer list for the next 8 days, we'd appreciate it!  :)  we love you!
